The starfish analogy represents the individual impact we strive to make at the WorkSmart Foundation. It’s inspired by the story of someone who, after seeing thousands of starfish stranded on the beach, begins to throw them back into the water one at a time. While we can’t assist every student in need, your support helps us empower many students by providing them with the career resources, internships, job shadowing, and career incentives they need to succeed. Together, we can make a difference, one student at a time.
Your donation will directly support the WorkSmart Foundation’s programs, including industry certifications, internships, job shadowing, and career exploration opportunities. It will help provide the tools and resources that empower students to build the skills they need to succeed in their careers and higher education. To adopt a Starfish, choose your donation level and let us know if you’d like to support a specific school, type of need, or student. Full Adoption sponsors are matched with a student and receive updates throughout the year. Your gift helps equip students with real tools and training to succeed. In addition to donations, we welcome volunteers and community partners who are passionate about supporting workforce development and career exploration.
